Walnut
The City of Walnut is primarily a residential community with approximately 30,000 people. The City has a rural charm which the community takes great pride in. It is surrounded by other suburban cities such as Diamond Bar, Rowland Heights, West Covina, and Chino Hills. This hillside city is quiet and serene, with shopping centers interspersed throughout the city. The city has its own school district. Its prestigious “Walnut High School” is highly desired by many families. In fact, many families move to Walnut simply for the opportunity to have their children attend the Walnut school system. Walnut is also the home of Mount San Antonio College (Mt. SAC) and to the national acclaimed Mt. SAC Relays, an annual track and field festival, which attracts elite athletes from around the world. In 2011, CNN Money Magazine ranked Walnut #57 in “America’s best small towns.” With its small town feel and fine schools, this city is a great place to raise a family.
